Attic Insulation
Attic spray foam insulation seals the leaks that push heat out of the top of a house and keeps upstairs rooms comfortable all year.
View Attic InsulationWe install spray foam insulation in barns, milk houses, calf barns, equipment sheds and other farm buildings around Woodstock and across Oxford County. Closed-cell spray foam insulates, seals out drafts and stops condensation on steel roofs and walls in one application. Every job on the farm is fully insured, and the estimate is free.
We fix it. Steel roofs and wall panels over livestock, feed and machinery collect condensation whenever warm, damp air inside meets cold metal. That water drips onto animals, hay, grain and equipment, and it rusts the fasteners that hold the building together.
Closed-cell spray foam applied to the underside of the steel keeps the metal surface warm, so the moisture does not form. It also seals the gaps at the eaves and along the lap joints where wind and snow blow in. The same approach is used on commercial steel buildings in town.
Oxford County is known as the Dairy Capital of Canada, and a dairy barn is one of the wettest buildings on any farm. Animals, water lines and wash-down all add humidity. Fibreglass absorbs that moisture, sags, and gives birds and mice a place to nest. Closed-cell spray foam does not absorb water, and it leaves no loose material for pests to move into.
In areas animals can reach, the foam is covered with a protective liner so it cannot be chewed or damaged. Milk houses, calf barns and farm offices usually need full insulation to hold their temperature. Cold storage and machinery sheds may only need a thin coat to control condensation.
Chores do not stop for a contractor. We plan the spray foam insulation around milking times, livestock moves and the seasons, and we tell you in the estimate how long each area must stay clear. A heated shop on the farm is covered on our workshop and pole barn insulation page.
Barn and agricultural spray foam insulation around Woodstock usually costs between about $2 and $5 per square foot. The main factors are the thickness of the foam, the height of the building and whether a protective liner is needed. A thin anti-condensation coat on a machine shed costs much less than a full insulation job on a heated barn.
Tell us what the building is used for and roughly how big it is. Woodstock Spray Foam Insulation will come out to the farm, look at the building with you and write up the barn insulation price. We have separate pages for dairy barns and machine sheds.
We insulate every part of a home, as well as barns, shops and commercial buildings.
