Attic Insulation
Attic spray foam insulation seals the leaks that push heat out of the top of a house and keeps upstairs rooms comfortable all year.
View Attic InsulationWe install cold storage spray foam insulation in walk-in coolers, cold rooms, produce storage, meat and dairy processing rooms and farm coolers across Woodstock and Oxford County. Closed-cell spray foam gives a high R-value per inch and forms a continuous air and vapour seal, which keeps the cold in and stops frost from building up inside the walls. All of our work is fully insured.
We seal the warm side. In a cooler, warm moist air from outside the room is always trying to move in toward the cold. If it gets into the wall, it turns to water or frost inside the insulation, and the wall slowly loses its insulating value. Cold storage spray foam insulation seals the wall in one continuous layer, so there are no joints for that air to follow.
Cold rooms lose most of their energy at the details. We seal around door frames, refrigeration lines, electrical boxes and drains, and we insulate the wall down to the slab edge. The compressor runs less, frost stays off the evaporator longer and the room holds its temperature through power interruptions.
Oxford County's farms, orchards and food processors all rely on cold rooms, from on-farm produce coolers to meat and cheese storage. Spray foam works in new cold rooms and in older rooms that have started to frost or sweat. Freezer rooms need a specific thickness and vapour design, and your estimate sets that out. Farm buildings are also covered on our barn and agricultural insulation page.
Cold storage spray foam insulation usually costs between about $4 and $8 per square foot, because cold rooms need more thickness than a heated building. The size of the room, the target temperature and the covering required over the foam set the final price, which we give in writing.
Tell us the size of the room and the temperature it needs to hold. Woodstock Spray Foam Insulation will look at the space and send a written cold storage insulation quote. Coolers inside larger buildings are also covered on our warehouse insulation page.
We insulate every part of a home, as well as barns, shops and commercial buildings.
