Attic Insulation
Attic spray foam insulation seals the leaks that push heat out of the top of a house and keeps upstairs rooms comfortable all year.
View Attic InsulationWoodstock Spray Foam Insulation insulates pre-engineered steel buildings, Quonset and arch buildings, steel-clad shops and shipping containers across Woodstock and Oxford County. Closed-cell spray foam bonds straight to the steel, seals every seam and stops the condensation that makes metal buildings drip. Insurance covers every job we do.
We keep the steel warm. Thin metal panels take on the outside temperature within minutes. On a cold morning, the moist air inside a steel building condenses on the panels, runs down the walls and drips from the roof. Metal building spray foam insulation puts a layer over the inside of the steel, so the surface the air touches stays warm and dry.
Many steel buildings came with fibreglass blanket insulation behind a vinyl facing. Over time the facing tears, the blanket sags between purlins, and water collects inside it. Mice move in as well. Closed-cell spray foam sticks to the steel and framing, holds its shape, does not absorb water and leaves nothing loose for pests to nest in. Old blankets are removed before the foam goes on.
Every lap seam, fastener and wall girt in a steel building is a small path for air and heat. Spray foam covers them all in one continuous layer, which also stiffens the panels and quiets rain and hail on the roof. Arch buildings and containers get the same treatment, with the foam following the curve of the steel.
Metal building spray foam insulation around Woodstock usually costs between about $2 and $5 per square foot. About one inch of closed-cell foam controls condensation in an unheated building, while two to three inches or more suits a heated one. Farm steel buildings are covered on our machine shed insulation page.
Tell us the building size, the wall height and whether it will be heated. Woodstock Spray Foam Insulation will book a visit and write up the price for your metal building. Heated steel shops are also covered on our workshop and pole barn insulation page.
We insulate every part of a home, as well as barns, shops and commercial buildings.
